Learning letters

Your preschooler or kindergartner needs to be able to identify letters and letter sounds. Here’s a fun way to practice. Make a card with each letter on it. Place the cards in a circle on the floor. Play music and have your child walk around the circle of letters. Stop the music. Have your child tell you what letter he or she is standing on. Then, have your child tell you the sound or sounds the letter makes. For an extra challenge, your child can tell you a word that begins or ends with that letter.  Fun and easy!
